1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive mop and robot vacuum combos available. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of rooms and floors.
When I tested the S1 It was quick to locate our downstairs, which has laminate flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, plus medium-pile carpeting and a large area rug. It easily drove close to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to cross thresholds for rooms that are raised without issue, though it occasionally struggled to get down the stairs in one move. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. The mop sped along on its flat side and lifted itself when it was near carpets or rugs.
Before each mopping session, the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1's water tank can hold enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before needing to be cleaned, although this can vary based on how much you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to keep it working efficiently. It is necessary to regularly wash out the dirty tank to prevent it from becoming blocked. You will also need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them becoming blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, especially compared to other models that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an efficient solution to your cleaning needs. Its robot vacuum boasts 8,700Pa of suction, and comes with a number of innovative features, including full home mapping, voice control, and smart path-planning that avoids obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, rather than simply moving the pad across it. The mops can be dried and cleaned at the base station when required.
This robot combo has an easy interface that guides you throughout the process. The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with strong suction that easily picks up most of the debris, and even smaller bits of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it could get stuck on small area mats and rugs in my home (which you can mitigate by creating virtual boundaries in the app). The mopping capabilities are quite excellent, too, with two spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad across it. The mops can also be cleaned using heated water and dried in the basestation whenever needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station when required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. However, their latest flagship model is packed with impressive features. It boasts fantastic cleaning results and hands-free maintenance, making it a clear contender for our top mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition, and an extended side brush guarantee a thorough, customised clean.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming, picking up large and fine particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned the most soiled areas efficiently, while avoiding tangled pet hairs and other mess. Robot vacuums are excellent at removing dirt and debris, but they're not able to get every speck of dust. It also comes with a smart app that lets you select your floor's type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring, with 2700Pa of power to take on dirt, dust and pet hair on both carpets and hard floors. The Q5 was among the few robots that we tested to not have issues with high-pile rugs and carpets. However, it was able to not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't too surprising as it doesn't have AI-powered obstacle-avoidance features.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robot vacuum we've ever tested. It also features a unique mapping system that lets it reach tight corners and corners that other vacuums cannot. It also collects more dust in the bin, which means you don't have to empty it as often. Additionally, it has washable filters which further reduces the expenses associated with using the device. The robot can recognize carpets, and boost suction if necessary. The app also allows you to mark areas you want to avoid this is a useful feature.
